Better World Ed is a New York-based non-profit that creates learning experiences designed to help young people understand themselves, others and the world around them. Their work uses real human stories, short films and accompanying learning materials to bring empathy, perspective-taking, critical thinking and compassion into the classroom.

I spent time with the Better World Ed team in India, supporting their work by broadening their local network, identifying stories, and producing films that could be used as part of their global learning model. The aim was to help translate real-life experiences into accessible educational content that could support deeper learning and human connection among students around the world.

This project strengthened my understanding of how storytelling can be used not only to communicate an organisation’s mission, but to create learning experiences that shift how people see themselves and others.
