Early Childhood Development 〰️

Empatico is a New York-based non-profit learning platform that helps educators connect students with peers around the world to build relationships, deepen empathy and develop global understanding.

I worked with the Empatico team to help clarify and communicate the story of the platform through a series of video-led content pieces. The aim was to explain the value of Empatico in a way that felt clear, human and accessible to educators, partners, funders and wider public audiences.

My role included conceptualising, producing and editing the content, with a focus on translating the organisation’s educational purpose into stories that could travel across digital platforms and help introduce the work to a global audience.

In 2019 two classrooms on different continents developed a lasting relationship through Empatico. This is their story.

Like many social organisations, it’s difficult to summarise Empatico’s mission - and values into a short online video. We decided to take a semi-fictional approach to convey an emotion that represents Empatico.

Empatico is still young. One of their priorities is to recruit new users globally. This product video offers a short and simple outline for prospective teachers to sign up and use Empatico in their classrooms.

Strong communication helps social impact organisations make their work easier to understand, easier to support, and easier to share.

Video is one powerful part of that process, but it works best when it sits within a clear communications strategy. My work helps organisations clarify their message, shape their story, and develop digital content that can build trust, strengthen visibility and connect with the audiences they need to reach.
