Teachers CAN

Teachers CAN is a South African initiative building a community of teachers who are committed to strengthening the schooling system from within. Their work recognises teachers not only as classroom practitioners, but as leaders, advocates and change agents with valuable insight into what education reform should look like in practice.

I supported Teachers CAN by producing a short video that helped communicate the purpose and energy of the movement. The video was designed to introduce the initiative, elevate the voices of teachers, and show how collective support, shared identity and strong storytelling can help shift the public narrative around the teaching profession in South Africa.

In partnership with Vanessa Thomas-Lowndes from The T Room, I also consulted with them to develop their training program with storytelling. We used storytelling elements to support important factors, like Community Building, Identity Development, Narrative etc. that add depth & meaning to the learning experience.
