Experience
I have over 13 years experience working with non-profits in different industries and countries. Among other projects, I have worked on early childhood education in the USA and Nigeria, social innovation in India, and youth development in South Africa.
I also filled a leadership role at an NGO for 4 years, which helps me really understand how non-profits function and therefore what the best approach is to storytelling in this space.

My Approach
MY NAME IS odendaal
I spent several years working in pop culture and the commercial media industry, but soon realised it wasn’t the right fit for me. As a South African, I’m deeply motivated to contribute to efforts that help improve our society in the wake of a difficult history.
I take a design thinking approach to my work, ensuring that the people we aim to serve remain at the centre of every project. I collaborate closely with clients to gain a deep understanding of their industry and the communities they work with before any creative work begins.
Using agile project management tools and processes, I deliver projects on time and within budget. My extensive background in content creation provides a strong foundation for building effective, engaging digital marketing strategies that support organisational goals. This allows me to offer an end-to-end service—from strategy and planning through to content creation that brings those strategies to life by telling human stories.
